Tourism and Travel

Tourism is a major source of foreign currency and employment in Kenya. The World Travel & Tourism Council claims that in 2018 travel and tourism contributed 790 Billion KSh (8.8% of GDP) to the Kenyan economy and provided 1.1 million jobs. We hope to be able to add more detailed data on employment soon from the labour report of the 2019 Household and Population Census. Below you'll find summaries of the number of visitors and total arrivals at J.K.I.A and M.I.A. airports.
