INFLATION - CBK CATEGORIES

The following dashboard provides an opportunity to examine inflation data using the broad commodity groups and regional areas used by the Central Bank of Kenya. Data comes from the CBK Monthly Economic Indicators reports. 

It should be noted that according to CPI Rebasing Report (March 2020) the the pricing figures used to calculate inflation are based on a survey of URBAN spending patterns and pricing. Therefore all inflation figures should be read as URBAN INFLATION and should not be taken as indicative of price movements that may be experienced by rural populations.
